CapsLockDelay is a small and simple software program with a very specific function - to insert a delay on the effect produced by the "Caps Lock" key, in order to prevent any accidental activation or deactivation of it. In other words, from the moment you open the program and until you close it, you will have to press and hold the "Caps Lock" key for at least 1 second if you want to actually turn it on or off.
Though the program's function may seem too basic or even useless, it may be a great help, especially for people who usually need to type large amounts of text, like lawyers, writers, historians, etc., for whom each accidental activation of the Caps Lock key - a very frequent mistake - becomes an undesirable time waster.
The program's interface could not be simpler: a very small window with a check box that allows you to activate or deactivate the Caps Lock delay. The only additional existing window in this program simply displays the "About" information.
CapsLockDelay perfectly fulfills the function it was created for. Unfortunately, it does not offer you the possibility to configure it as a system service or to minimize it to the system tray area. You need to keep the small window open for as long as you want the delay to be active, although it can be minimized to the task bar. Besides that, the keyboard's LED bulb, which shows the status of the Caps Lock key, turns on and off as soon as your press the key, which causes a bit of inconsistency between the status of the led and the availability of the Caps Lock functionality.
